What's your Dosha?
In Ayurveda there are three main doshas or energies that govern the physiology. Each is associated with the elements found in nature and their characteristics. And while everyone has all three doshas, your individual body constitution (prakruti) is based on the predominance of the following doshas.Vata is correlated with air and space and is responsible for any and all of the transportation or movement in the body. So whether it's physical movement such as walking or the brain sending signals to and from the rest of the body.
Pitta is associated with fire and water and is responsible for any and all metabolism in the body. Now when we think of metabolism, we think of the belly. Yes pitta is responsible for digestion. However it is also responsible for the breakdown of all sensory input. The sights that we see, the music we listen to, the relationships we hold.
And lastly, Kapha is correlated with earth and water. Kapha makes up the gross physiology. ie. muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, etc.

Today was another day of transformation. Another record attendance that topped yesterday's! Most significant is the healing from one heart to another. So many inspiring people that share in this space we have created. I am overwhelmed and I am grateful.
Today we poetically gave honor to the principle of Pure Potential and put it into action. I am a verb, I am always in action, I am awakened and experiencing. Let the beautiful lotus flower dance at your crown, and open it's beautiful petals of light.

Day 3 of the Hot Belly Challenge. Today, we dare you to stick out your tongue!
Tongue diagnosis is a procedure that has been utilized for thousands of years. The concept behind it is simple, if the opening of your digestive system is clean and clear, so is the rest of the tract. If there is heavy coating or a foul smell, what do you think lines the entire 30 feet of your intestines?!? Scraping our tongue in the morning helps us physically see the amount of gunk that is removed everyday. Through out this challenge, you should hopefully see less and less white or yellow mucus coming off your tongue in the morning and giving rise to a clean and clear pink tongue.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Hot Belly Yoga Challenge!
Here is today's wellness tip:
Pulse of Life
Have you heard your heartbeat lately? You have one! What is it trying to tell you? Paying attention to your pulse and heartbeat helps you understand what is going on within. Is it slow? Is it fast? Is it calm? Is it anxious? Is it easy? Or is it working overtime? There are over 20 different qualities that you can use to determine your pulse. Obviously, this goes beyond the typical beats per minute. We want to look at the characteristics of the pulse. Is it hot or cold? Dry and hard or oily and soft? Is it moving or is it localized? And many more. These give us an outlook on the physiology and we can then take measures to increase vitality through out the body!
