The Healing Benefits of Massage

Studies have shown that massage is not only an effective treatment for the physical body (connective tissue, sprains, strains, etc), its benefits reach far beyond the physical. Regular massage has been proven to:
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Reduce stress
  • Decrease symptoms of depression
  • Reduce intensity and frequency of headaches
  • Helps with insomnia
And due to the release of oxytocin, massage promotes feelings of relaxation, nurturing, and connection. Many feel like getting a massage is a luxury. Is it really? I believe massage is an essential component to overall health and well-being.
